Some days you’re all Air

Reflective. Internal. Slow to gather momentum.

Other days you’re all Fire

Driven. Directed. Reluctant to slow down.

Know your pattern. Practice what balances it. Sustain it over time.

PRIVATE YOGA COACHING FOR DANCERS, ATHLETES, AND PROFESSIONALS

Virtual & In-person

The AirFire assessment helps you understand how your energy moves so your practice can support you rather than work against you. Only takes 3 minutes.

Why One Practice Doesn’t Work for Every Body

Air and Fire describe natural energy rhythms. Air moves inward toward reflection. Fire moves outward toward expression. Your practice creates balance when it complements the rhythm that's present. A practice that restores one person can deplete another because energy does not move the same way in every body.

Air Dominant

The Reflective Rhythm

Feels like: Expansive thinking, internal processing, needing time to build momentum, preference for depth and space

The Practice: Dynamic movement that directs reflective energy outward and builds clarity through action

Fire Dominant

The Focused Rhythm

Feels like: Quick to engage, sustained intensity, natural drive toward action, reluctance to pause once momentum builds

The Practice: Sustained holds that create space between impulse and response, allowing intensity to integrate

Balanced

The Fluid Rhythm

Feels like: Adaptive by nature, able to shift between reflection and action, though sustaining this fluidity requires awareness

The Practice: Both receptive and dynamic practices, matched to which rhythm is present in the moment

Air is expansive. Fire is directional. Together, they shape your rhythm.

The Neurophysiology of Yoga

AirFire Yoga bridges ancient wisdom with modern understanding. Our framework is rooted in thousands of years of Vedic philosophy, specifically the Panchamahabhutas or "Five Great Elements." This system views Air and Fire as the essential energies governing movement and transformation.

While we use traditional language, our method parallels modern physiology. AirFire Yoga is not fitness. It is a system of Precision Autonomic Regulation. We utilize breath and movement to calibrate the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). We use precision to clear the physiological path for true surrender.

  • Biologically, this is your Parasympathetic Nervous System, your “brake pedal.” It reflects the heart center and supports receptivity and expansive energy. Air is what allows you to find stillness, breathe deeper, see the big picture, and process deep thoughts.

  • Biologically, this is your Sympathetic Nervous System, your “gas pedal.” It reflects the solar plexus energy and supports confidence, discipline, and directed energy. When you have healthy Fire, you have momentum, warmth, and the ability to get things done with serious precision.

  • Our goal is balance, the ability to switch seamlessly between action and reflection. In scientific terms, this mirrors Autonomic Flexibility or Heart Rate Variability (HRV). Research indicates that a healthy nervous system isn't just calm; it’s adaptable. Our training helps you rehearse this adaptability, ensuring you can hit the gas (Fire) and the brakes (Air) exactly when needed.
